Stay hiking in Ardeche

The Ardèche is quite simply the paradise for hikers.
Whether on foot, by bike or mountain bike you will not get tired of its diverse landscapes.
At the reception of the campsite, we put at your disposal maps and topoguides free of charge.

Here is a description of some of the hikes that you can do in the vicinity of the campsite.

The plateau of Jastres and its oppidums : This hike of about 4 hours on foot, is a must because you can leave directly from the campsite. You first climb in a few minutes on the Jastres cliff above the campsite to discover an exceptional panorama. From there you have a view of the Le Plan d’Eau campsite, the Ardèche river, the Albenassian basin and the Ardèche mountains in the distance. You discover on the plateau of Jastres the ruins of a Roman fortification, then a little further on a dolmen, dating from even older times and finally you cross a small hamlet typically Ardéchois before finishing this beautiful loop.

Le cirque des gens in Chauzon : 15km from the campsite, you will be at the start of this hike of about 4 hours, very pleasant to do with your family. You are now in the scenery of the Gorges de l’Ardèche. All along this easy hike, you will have the possibility to swim in the Ardèche river.
Mont Gerbier des Joncs : Tour and Ascension : 30km from the campsite, towards the north, you find yourself on the Ardéchois plateau. From here the views are breathtaking! You will discover at the Mont Gerbier de Joncs, the sources of the Loire river and the picturesque landscapes of the Ardéchoise mountain.
