Camping Le Plan d'Eau on the banks of the river

Camping Le Plan d’Eau is located on the banks of the Ardèche River.
The cliffs of Jastres above the river offer us every day a magnificent viewpoint throughout the day.
In the calm of the morning, under the sun of the day or during the sweet evenings of summer, this idyllic frame is appreciated by all.

Water activities at the campsite

The flat rocks at the bottom of the cliffs, allow to lie in the sun on the edge of the water and many small beaches of sand and pebbles spread naturally along the river and make it easy for everyone to enjoy a peace full place on the side of the Ardèche, any time of the day for a swim or just a relaxing moment.
Buoys are welcome at the river, it is very nice to go down the small rapids in front of the campsite.
The river is an ideal playground for the whole family under the sun of the Ardèche.

However, we ask you to be careful under the cliffs because it can be friable in rainy weather and in the water because the rocks are sometimes slippery. Don’t forget your water shoes!
Thank you also to respect the place and not to leave any garbage near the river.

Fishing in Ardèche

In the morning when it is quiet you can observe the many birds, fishes and, if you are very patient,beavers living on the river.

The morning is also time for fishermen. It is possible to fish directly at the campsite but also in the immediate surroundings, in the numerous rivers and wild torrents, all the possibilities are available to you: white fish, trout, “nokill” course.
